There are a number of article about the strange behaviour by the world’s favourite search engine, Google, and I don’t mean its new Autolink feature.
An article at ISEDB.com quoted a post at Threadwatch that covered dirty SEO tactics by Google on its own pages including the use of cloaking and keyword stuffing in order to rank highly for the term “traffic estimates.”
Google’s rep stated that the pages had been removed from the index (which is true), but why did they have to violate their own TOS in the first place and leave the field wide open to SEOs who support cloaking.
Dumb, dumb, dumb thing to do!! Autolink, cloaking, what next, Goog?
